Dictionary of sports betting on special bets

Special bets are a special form of long-term bets. They usually also cover long periods of time, but have a specific thematic focus. Example: special bets Borussia Dortmund. It's about what position Dortmund will take at the end of the season. Or whether they are ahead or behind a certain club in the table. Or how many points they score or the number of goals they score. These sports bets are especially suitable for punters who want to bet on their favorite club.

System bet

The system bet is a further development of the combination bet. Here, too, the player combines several games so that the odds multiply each other. However, unlike a combination bet, a system bet also allows for wrong predictions. Example:
A player predicts the outcome of four Bundesliga games. His bet is 10 euros.
However, he does not place a €10 combination bet, but instead plays a 3 out of 4 system bet. The result is a total of four bets: Game A, Game B and Game C are guessed correctly. Or: B, C and D are correct. Or: A, B and D. Or: A, C and D. The odds are multiplied with each other for each of these so-called lines.
A wager of €10 becomes a wager of €2.50 per line. The profit is of course lower than with a combined bet of all four games. But the player can also make a mistake once and still not lose his entire bet.

Betting tax

By law, the tax on rates is 5 percent. Thus, each betting provider is obliged to pay tax to the state. Therefore, many bookmakers withhold a 5 percent tax on bets. It is extremely rare that a bookmaker does not claim this amount from a customer, but sometimes it happens. For example, betting sites in Tanzania are some of the bookmakers where you can bet without paying tax. They include free bets or a welcome bonus of up to 100% or 200%.

Betting on a goal

Players betting on sports can bet not only on the outcome of the game, but also on specific goals scored. Some portals even offer the opportunity to bet on a certain number of individual players' hits in selected games. Popular bets on goals are: "Can Player A score at least 2 goals?" or "Will Player B score the first goal?" or "Can Player C score at least 1 goal and his team win?"

Betting Bonus

Similar to a free bet, a betting bonus is a tool used by betting shops to attract new customers or retain existing customers. After signing up, many portals entice you with deposit bonuses. Customers can then, for example, play with double the amount they deposited. Most bookmakers limit these bonuses to 100 euros and tie the payout to the conditions. The client must wager the amount at a certain odds several times before he can withdraw his winnings. It is also important to know how to avoid the biggest mistakes in betting and much more can be found on this useful resource

Betting limit

In the terms and conditions, bookmakers guarantee the right to limit bets as well as deposits and withdrawals of their customers. In this way they protect themselves as well as the players from excessive losses. In addition, only 10,000 euros can be wagered there per day. The payout amount and the number of combined bets are usually limited. To avoid these betting limits, many professional players switch to Asian providers.

Break in betting.

As part of the new State Gaming Agreement (effective July 1, 2021), online sports betting providers have pledged to expand addiction prevention measures. In addition to a number of measures, this also includes offering what is known as a betting break. By clicking on the appropriate box, players who notice a loss of control can thus lock themselves out for 24 hours. During this break the account is frozen: no further bets or deposits can be made. After 24 hours the player may continue playing.

Double-sided betting

A two-way bet applies only to sports where there is no draw: good examples are tennis or volleyball. They work on the classic "either-or" principle. There is nothing in between. Similarly, classic soccer betting is a three outcome bet. In addition to the possibility of winning or losing, there is also the option of a draw.
